Within terrestrial television, which can also be refereed to as television broadcasting produce radio waves to allow programs to be transmitted onto televisions. For this to work the televisions must of have an antenna on the roof to be able to receive these transmissions. Within terrestrial television there were only several channels which includes BBC, IT and Channel 4 & 5.

Digital television was created in 1990 which enhanced the technology of televisions due to the fact that it allowed for better resolution which increased viewer ratings and inspired more producers. However, the main switch-over from analogue to digital was in 2006 which makes this the modern method of broadcasting programs.

In conclusion, terrestrial television was a good method of broadcast at the begging of the creation of television. However, digital television has made it become more modern for producers since it makes the production cycle faster. On the other hand, due to the internet and other creations such as Netflix or Amazon Prime, i believe that the future of televisions will soon become extinct. Everything will become on demand and the TV & Film industry will fall since the producers will lose money as advertisements will not be so common, this will also effect the audience as the quality of films will slowly decay in CGI however, the story may be improved.
